His work as a cops and courts reporter greatly influenced his decision to pursue a career in law. With a passion for criminal justice and a love for Boise, Idaho, Jeffrey McKinnie decided to attend law school at University of Idaho College of Law. After completing an internship in practice at the Ada County Prosecutor’s Office, Mr. McKinnie accepted a position as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney with the Canyon County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, where he handled misdemeanors and felonies. This experience strongly validated his decision to become a criminal defense attorney. McKinnie is currently licensed to practice law in all courts of the State of Idaho and the U.S. District Court for the District of Idaho.
